Profit analytics
Know what every SKU actually made
Revenue is the easy number. Zeroth's Analytics workspace follows every dollar from ordered sales to profit, separates cash Amazon has posted from estimates, and shows where your inventory capital is working and where it's stuck.
Profit waterfall
Every dollar between ordered sales and profit
The profit waterfall starts at ordered sales and subtracts each cost in turn, so you can see exactly where the money goes before it becomes profit.
- Ordered salesWhat customers ordered in the period.
- Amazon feesMarketplace, fulfillment, and related fees.
- Refunds and advertisingRefunded sales and ad spend, per period.
- Landed costSupplier cost minus rebates, plus inbound shipping, prep, and packaging.
- Operating expensesThe costs of running the business, down to operating profit.
Fees and refunds as a share of sales
Watch Amazon fees and refunds as a percentage of sales over time.
TACOS and contribution margin
Ad spend against total ordered sales, and what each sale contributes after variable costs.
Profit per unit and per session
Combine margin with shopper traffic to see what a visit to your listing is worth.
Cash
Posted cash, kept apart from estimates
Amazon settles money on its own schedule. Zeroth shows the ledger entries Amazon has posted in the range, including reimbursements, separately from amounts that are still estimated, so a good week on paper isn't mistaken for cash in the bank.
SKU drill-down
One page for everything about a SKU
Open any SKU to see its net profit and margin next to the things that move them: your price history against the lowest recorded price, Buy Box share, conversion, and the repricing events in the period.
The same view shows inventory on hand, inbound, and on order, the suggested reorder, and a fee breakdown that includes aged-inventory charges.
Inventory capital
See where your inventory capital is working
Inventory is cash in another form. Zeroth values every unit from open purchase orders through to FBA at landed cost, then shows what that capital earns.
GMROI and turns
Annualized return on the inventory you hold, and how often it turns over.
Slow capital
The highest-value SKUs with a long runway of cover or no recent sales.
Sales and profit at risk
Selling SKUs that will run out before lead time and buffer allow you to restock.
Inventory fees
Monthly storage, aged-inventory surcharges, and low-inventory fees charged in each period.
Returns & traffic
Why customers send items back, and who visits
The refund view tracks your refund rate over time, the SKUs refunds cost the most, and the reasons customers gave in Amazon's FBA customer returns report.
Traffic comes from Amazon's sales and traffic reporting by child ASIN: sessions, page views, and unit session percentage for recent completed weeks, next to units sold.
What needs attention
Findings ranked by what they cost you
Zeroth joins sales, profit, inventory, traffic, returns, and repricing, then ranks what needs attention by its dollar impact. Each finding links straight to the SKUs behind it.
Compare any range with the previous period of the same length, keep month-to-date and 90-day scorecards in view, and track team activity, like FNSKU labels printed per person against units sold.
Profit drains
SKUs with negative product profit in the range.
Losing the Buy Box
Listings with low Buy Box share that still have sales or stock.
High returns
SKUs whose unit refund rate stands out.
Running low
SKUs under two weeks of FBA cover, or already out of stock.
Questions
Common questions
- Where does the data come from?
- From your connected Amazon account's orders, financial ledger, fee, inventory, returns, and sales and traffic reports, combined with the product costs you record in Zeroth.
- What if some product costs are missing?
- Zeroth flags products with missing costs so you can fill them in, and Zeno can suggest the missing costs for you to approve.
- Why don't posted cash and profit match?
- Profit follows when orders happen. Posted cash follows when Amazon settles them. Zeroth shows both and labels what is still estimated.
- Can I see one SKU over time?
- Yes. The SKU view shows profit, price, Buy Box share, conversion, and inventory for the range you choose.
- Is analytics included in every plan?
- Yes. Analytics and profit and loss are included in every Zeroth plan.
